Welcome to the
Fortune City Melting Pot
Harrow Road Recommended Sites
This page is dedicated to featuring those sites on Harrow Road which have not won meaningful awards, but which stand out as sites worth recommendation. (Several sites which once were listed here have since been moved to the Harrow Road Awards page listing, following their receipt of an award.)
- Virginia Bloodhound Search & Rescue is an excellent site, describing the good work this group does. [added June 12, 1999]
- The Cool Hat Movie Poster site offers high quality displays of movie posters.
- http://www.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/harrow/314/ -- Paul has several excellent pages here, showing a good balance of graphics, music, and text. He discusses his Navy life, his profession, and places he's lived, with interesting links to follow for additional information.
- Godstuff Comix has built a site at http://www.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/harrow/753/ whose subject matter you may not like (friends never discuss politics or religion), but the pages are indeed well done.
- If you know of any other Harrow Road sites that should be listed here, send me email and let me know.
Rest in Peace
Cyberspace is not immune to its own forms of natural disasters. The Great FortuneCity Crash of 1999 completely wiped out Harrow Road and several other areas of FC. Several sites which were lost and not (yet?) rebuilt were previously Recommended Sites, including several from Harrow Road:
http://www.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/harrow/261/ -- Conni's web site which explains many aspects of Wiccan religion and activity. She has some broken graphics on the pages, but the information is well presented and interesting.
- http://www.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/harrow/112/ -- Prizner's Wild world 2 -- Do you like tattoos? If so, you'll relish this site and the artwork it displays. If not, if you feel tattoos have no value or justification, this site just might change your mind.
- http://www.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/harrow/126/ -- Amelie Morgan has a one-page home page, well done completely with the Fortune City basic HTML editor. I've seen some complaints that you can't do much with that editor, but Amelie shows here that you can create attractive pages with it.
